About Me

So here's my story...

Born in a small french town in northern Ontario, Canada , my parents and my grandparents bought a huge plot of land outside of a 99% French town, which is the northern most point on highway 11.

Neither of my parents knew how to speak french and i was sent to private catholic school that was all french and i was the only english kid in class. So i didn’t understand the language and had to rely on reading people in other ways to try and make friends.

I grew up in a house that my father and grandfather built from logs cut down from trees on our property, we hunted and fished religously as every family does in Hearst. The balance of that in combination with the town having the most millionaires per capita in the country at the time provided the most ideal place and community to raise kids.

My first love was music and that’s all i wanted to do was play, create and collaborate so i moved to Toronto and went to college for audio engineering.

Work as an intern and worked up to head engineer at a studio owned by Mike Turner ( our lady peace, crash karma) I recorded major label bands and was a great learning experience but i became frustrated with the state of the music industry.

In the recording process, we’d often use session musicians that were in the US and our process for recording them remotely was to email them the session, they open it up, record their part and then send the session back… I knew there was a better, more creative and collaborative way to do it….

So i built it.

I then co-founded a startup to build a plugin that you would insert on a channel on my pro tools rig and send the plugin to the session player that he would do the same and i would get them to type in the server address and voila ! Real time collaboration, regardless of where you are geographically. This i did while google+ was in its beta stage and i used the platform as part of the social and broadcasting component to it.

I also did contract work for AXS tv live to air concerts In California where i worked directly with the mix engineer thats mixing live for the satelleite truck broadcasting the concert to hundreds of thousands of people. My job was to setup and run the pro tools machine and backup that was recording the show for mixing and overdubbing of the concert for when it re-airs on the network in the coming weeks..

Now i’m focused on content creation, marketing and building startups mostly in the biopharma business. That’s where we are today, i spend half of my time on startups and half on photography, marketing campaigns for brands like Bank of Montreal.

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify and vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as crazy, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

William Haines

Any single man must judge for himself whether circumstances warrant obedience or resistance to the commands of the civil magistrate; we are all qualified, entitled, and morally obliged to evaluate the conduct of our rulers.

This political judgment, moreover, is not simply or primarily a right, but like self-preservation, a duty to God. As such it is a judgment that men cannot part with according to the God of Nature.

It is the first and foremost of our inalienable rights without which we can preserve no other.
